FruaThing can do several defferant things

  1. Encode custom art to your combat icons
  2. Organize creature Icons and Files
  3. Resize combat icons
  4. Create new creature icons.
  5. Manage your personal collection

Encoding Custom Art

FruaThing works with nearly any windows art program(I recomend Paint shop pro). To encode your art follow the simple instructions below

  1. Browse into your current frua project directory.
  2. You will see several creature name in the creature list window, click the name of the creature you wish to edit.
  3. Your creatures image will appear in the 3 picture boxs, box A is the "ready" icon of your creature, box C is the "action" icon whil box B is the animation.
  4. Now click the "Copy" button below box A
  5. Open your windows art program and press the "Paste" button in your paint program
  6. Edit the icon then press the "copy" button in your paint program
  7. Go back to the FruaThing window and press the "copy" button below picture A
  8. Press the "Save to" button above picture B

Congratulations! you have just encoded your first creature with FruaThing

Organize creatures Icons and Files

FruaThing is great for organizing creatures in FRUA.

  1. Assume you want to copy several creatures from an old project to a new project you are creating
    1. First browse to the old projects directory then pick a creature you wish to use in you new project
    2. Press the "Copy" button above the creature list
    3. Browse to your new projects directory
    4. Press the "Paste" button above the creature list
    5. Repeat as neccecary
  2. Ok now lets say that instead of using the "green kobold" creature in your new project you want to use the "Abashi" creature
    1. First browse to the old projects directory then pick "Abashi"
    2. Press the "Copy" button above the creature list
    3. Browse to your new projects directory
    4. Pick "green kobold"
    5. Press the "Paste" button above the creature list
    6. Note: whereever the green kobold appeared in you project before there will now appear a Abashi.....
  3. Let us assume you changed your mind agian, and you want to use the orginal "Kobold" that you replaced with the "green kobold"
    1. Browse to your new projects directory then pick "Abashi"
    2. Press the "Delete" button above the creature list
    3. Note: now wherever a abashi appeared before the defualt "Kobold" will apear

Resize combat icons

FruaThing can resize your creature icons!

  1. Browse into your current frua project directory.
  2. Pick the creature you wish to resize
  3. Press the up arrow on the left numberbox above picture B to make it larger down to make it smaller.
  4. The left one controls width the right one controls height
  5. Press the "Save to" button above picture B

Create new creature icons

FruaThing enables you to create new creature icons!

  1. Browse into your current frua project directory.
  2. Press the "New" button above the creature list

Manage your personal collection

FruaThing Allows you to easly organize your own collection!

  1. Say you want to create a catigory to seperatly store your drow-type creatures in
    1. Press the "New" bellow the "Colllection catigorys list"
    2. A input field will apear prompting you for the name of the new catigory
    3. Input "Drow and Friends" then press "ok". Va-Vom! you have a new catigory
  2. Lets asume now that you want to import art from a modual you made into the "Drow and friends" catigory
    1. Select the modual name in the modual list box
    2. Select the creature you want to import
    3. Select the "Drow and friends" catigory
    4. Press the "Import to collection" button
  3. Let us now asume that you created another catigory called "Spider like things" and you want to copy the Drider creature from the "Drow and Friends" catigory to your new "Spider like things" catigory.
    1. Select the "Drow and Friends" catigory
    2. Select the "Drider" creature
    3. Press the "Copy" button above the collection creature list
    4. Select the "Spider like things" catigory
    5. Press the "Paste" button above the collection creature list
  4. Well by now you have organized your creature collection and you are on a real Drow kick. So you decide that you want to make yet another Drow modual.
    1. First create the design in UA. Then quit UA and load up FruaThing.
    2. Select the modual name
    3. Press the "new" button above the creature list
    4. Select the newly created "Unmodified" creature
    5. Select the "Drow" catigory
    6. Select the "High preist"
    7. Press the "Export to Unmodified" button below the collection preview picture
    8. Repeate steps 3,4,6,7 as needed.
